What's a Intradermal nevus?

Intradermal nevus is a type of mole that occurs within the top layer of skin (the epidermis) and is usually raised and smooth. It is typically benign, but in rare cases it may develop into a type of skin cancer called malignant melanoma. For this to happen the mole will change in size, shape and colour.

It will not happen without change. It is important to monitor any changes in the size, shape, or colour of an intradermal nevus and to consult a dermatologist if any unusual changes occur.
